Lynx Collection incorporates a Guesthouse with 6 suites in Hout Bay as well as a Winefarm with tasting room, Levante restaurant, and a Guesthouse with 17 suites and deluxe double rooms in Franschhoek. It allows our guests to combine a fantastic beach holiday not far away from Cape Town with a stay in one of South Africa’s most popular wine regions.

Our Team
Lynx Collection has a large team of staff who always work together to ensure our guests have a memorable stay.
Our Lynx wine team shich includes our winemaker Pierre Louw, together with his local farm workers, takes care of all aspects of the wine production. From the wine in the vineyard to the wine in the bottle.
Our hospitality team is responsible for all our guests in the Levante Restaurant, the Bodega Tasting Room and both Guesthouses to ensure you have an unforgettable stay. Both teams work closely together to ensure a smooth operationof the farm & Guesthouses and in turn, our guests’ satisfaction. Our goal is to produce outstanding wines for our consumers & guests and guarantee them a unique experience.

When we, Manuel and Brigitte Konen, with our three daughters, Annabel, Antonia and Alicia, visited South Africa for the first time and ended up in Franschhoek, we were immediately captivated by the country and the people. Franschhoek is the culinary capital of South Africa and stands for excellent wines, fantastic food and a captivating landscape. Our passion has always been wine and good food. The dream of owning our own winery has been there for a long time… maybe one day! Our family motto “Live your dream” has now come true! With the Lynx Collection we have taken a bold step and made a dream come true!
In 2018 we decided to make a bold move and bought Lynx Wine Farm in Franschhoek which is our Flagship and now, not only boasts with a tasting room, but also our Levante Restaurant, and a Guesthouse with 17 suites and deluxe double rooms which followed when we took over the farm.
In 2020 we grew our Lynx Collection by adding the beautiful Pure Guesthouse in Hout Bay with a majestic view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Both Manuel and Brigitte have many years of experience in the hotel industry, and their passion has always been hospitality and culinary pleasure. Now that their eldest daughter Annabel is following in their footsteps, everything is being done to make Lynx Wine Estate & Pure Guesthouse the perfect HIDEAWAYS for you, our guests!

Sustainability and environmental protection are important to us as we whish to leave our childrean a world worth living.As the owners, we pay attention to energy-conserving lightning and water-conserving shower heads. Examples of how we apply this, is by generating our electricity from a photovoltaic system and the water we use is treated and reused.
We set up beehives on our premises to contribute directly to species conservation and we water our lawns and flowers efficiently.
Our employees separate and recycle rubbish, dispose the leftovers professionally, and our kitchen team ensures that food is sourced regionally and seasonally.
How can our valued guests assist us in protecting the environment?
We kindly request that you only use water and electricity when needed and only as much as necessary. It would also contribute to protecting the environment if our guests cancelled the room cleaning once and used the towels longer.
Anyone visiting our farm will immediately notice that we are one big family, regardless of our origin, colour or religion. It is important to us that we all pull together for a common and good future. We invite our guests to be a part of our efforts and help. Together we can build a better world!
